 Summary: When the school board asks Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) to make a new commercial for the school, he enlists the study group to star in his production. As he gets swept away with the project, more of the student body is pulled into the fray, including Magnitude (Luke Youngblood), Fat Neil (Charley Koontz), Garrett (Erik Charles Nielsen), Leonard (Richard Erdman), Star-Burns (Dino Stamatopoulos) and even Greendale alum and genuine celebrity, Luis Guzman ("How to Make it in America"). Meanwhile, Abed (Danny Pudi) films all the activities for a documentary.

 Dont Mis it Community revisits the documentary film motif in the 8th episode of Season 3, in which Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) drafts the members of Jeff Winger’s study group for a Greendale Community College commercial that he’s directing. Meanwhile Abed (Danny Pudi) simultaneously shoots a documentary film about the making of the dean’s commercial. Jeff (Joel McHale) is cast to play the dean in the commercial (and from the look of these promotional photos, has a great time doing it). Guest star Luis Guzman appears as himself, playing one of Greendale’s only celebrity graduates. Introductory Filmmaking: Redux will appear on NBC Thursday, November 17, at 8 PM ET/PT.
